Recently, I joined the Ball State University Chapter of Free the Slaves. Though I'm the new guy, I can tell that it is a cause worthy of my time and money. I always look for causes and activities to get involved with, but I am often hesitant to join activist-type groups. Free the Slaves seems different. At once, it seems intelligent, focused, and just.
I have a great number of ideas swirling in this head of mine along with many values stored in my heart. As I am "growing up," I realize that I need to combine the two in order to actually get something done. I hope this is a step in that right direction.
