Joe Cermak is a nice dude. We had a poetry class together this past semester. He convinced me to read my poetry in public, if you call a semi-full, dark martini bar public. I encouraged him to play basketball with me a couple of times. I don't think he liked it much. He says funny things like, "God Bless You and God Bless America." I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean to me, but it has a ring to it. He is not around now, and I can tell.
