Some characters give up before they've even begun. They say things like, "I can't do that" and "I know I'll fail."
Some characters are dogs who try to jump on tables and eat their own poop.
Some characters have talents like playing the drums or listening, but they don't realize these are talents. They just think these talents are actually normal parts of life.
Some characters giggle when you tackle them and tickle them and chew on their ears. You tend to sleep with these characters at one point or another.
Some characters disappear for weeks at a time, but they show up and say, "Hey. I'm back." Everyone else pretends they were not even gone.
Some characters move to southern Indiana or California. They call sometimes and you feel nice inside.
Some characters die. Sometimes literally, like in car wrecks. But other times figuratively, like in frat houses.
Some characters are your parents. You remember them don't you?
Some characters have been to sweet places in Eastern Europe for free. You always wanted to tell people you have been to places that elicited responses like, "Can you show me that on the map?"
Some characters used to kiss you every day, but now they have no lips.
Some characters got pregnant, or married, or divorced, or arrested.
All characters are you, or parts of you. At times, you can't tell the difference.
Some characters love you, listen to you, hug you, need you. That should be enough.
